حصريا وقبل الجميع عملاق الحمايه الروسى kis11.0.2.541en

Dear beta-testers!

Our developers would like to know how stable new System Watcher is and its influence on KIS performance.

Preparing to testing

1. Check and write down how much memory and processor time does KIS spend while a certain kind of activity (starting/shutting down system, surfing internet, playing games, watching video, installing soft etc.)

2. Change update source from default to http://dnl-test.kaspersky-labs.com/test/emu/

3. Start KIS and go on testing.

Please do not change update sourse while testing because the new System Watcher will be replaced with the current one.

What should be paied attention to

1. Size of PdmHist folder. It should be changed but it should not exceed 100 MB.

2. Memory and processor time usage of system process avp.exe (to compare with item 1 of preparing part).

3. The time spent for installing large soft such as MS Office, Open Office, iTunes, K-Lite Code Pack etc.

4. The time spent for starting different browsers.

The most important result of this testing is to let developers know how exactly the new SW works in comparision with the old one. Once testing is over write the results in the forum and update from the default servers. Soon the new SW will be uploaded to the test update servers.

What should be done when facing problems

1. Crashes with new SW should be paid special attention to with the link to dumps in the forum.

2. If KIS crashes in certain cases please provide the scenario and traces in addition to dumps.

3. In case processor/memory usage differ radically please reproduce the case, describe it and upload traces in the forum.

4. In case some soft's performace changed to the worse please turn off System Watcher and try to reproduce such case. If it is SW that affects that soft please describe the case and upload traces.
