القصة: في هذا الجزء الثاني للفيلم الذي تم إنتاجه في العام 2002 "ذا رنغ", تستمر القصة بعد ستة أشهر حيث تنتقل راشل كيلر (نعومي واتس) للعيش في بلدة ساحلية صغيرة برفقة إبنها أدن (دايفد دورفمان). ولكن عندما يبدأ سكان البلدة في الموت ويظهر شريط فيديو غريب, تصبح راشل متيقنة من عودة سامارا لنشر الرعب والموت.
